The courtyard was part of the itinerary of the Via Gallica as a station for the horses of the mail chariots, since it is 10 miles far from Verona, and as established by the edict of Emperor Hadrian concerning the settings of fixed mail stations and published between 120 and 122 AD.
From Verona and Peschiera del Garda, along the regional road nr. 11, near the hamlet Bosco di Sona, at the traffic lights, take the directions towards Sona. After 50 meters, turn right into Via Matteotti and continue for about 2 km to reach the hamlet Ara Decima, where you find the courtyard on your left.
A4 motorway “Venice-Milan”: exit “Sommacampagna”, at the roundabout, turn left towards Sona / Bussolengo. At the next roundabout, turn left towards the village of Sona until the end of the upward slope, where you find the Town Hall and the main square – Piazza della Vittoria. Go down along Via Roma; at the bottom of the downward slope of Via San Quirico, turn into Via Matteotti and continue for about 2 km to reach the hamlet Ara Decima, where you find the courtyard on your left.
A22 motorway “Brennero-Modena”: exit “Verona Nord”, direction “Peschiera del Garda” – regional road nr. 11. At the hamlet Bosco di Sona, at the traffic lights, take the directions towards Sona. After 50 meters, turn right into Via Matteotti and continue for about 2 km to reach the hamlet Ara Decima, where you find the courtyard on your left.
