Borghetto sul Mincio was once a ford on the River Mincio. Nowadays it is a fascinating village where you can find a breathtaking harmony between history and nature. Its Medieval atmosphere is emphasized by the bastions of the Visconti Bridge, by the bell-tower of the church, and by the wheels of the ancient watermills used in the past for the milling of wheat and other cereals. It is one of the most visited villages among those selected by the Club “The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy“.
